Emergency First Responder is a must-have course for divers and non-divers alike. Prepare yourself to deal with life-threatening injuries, whether they occur at home with a family member or at the dive site with your dive buddy. Primary Care (CPR) teaches you how to deal with emergencies that are immediately life-threatening whilst Secondary Care (First Aid) covers injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening or when the emergency services are unavailable or delayed. You will focus on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure you have the knowledge, understanding and confidence to use your skills.

Participants are taught how to respond and deal with emergencies through a combination of knowledge and skill development. Once you have mastered the skills required for both primary and secondary care, you will be lead through a number of realistic scenarios where you get to put your new skills and knowledge to practice in a controlled environment. These scenarios give you the confidence to administer the most effective and appropriate care in the event of a genuine emergency - not to mention being a lot of fun!

This course is a pre-requisite for PADI Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Instructor level training.
